Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Location: North London

Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 plus bonus and 5% pension

We are working with a fintech company looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their team in North London. Successful candidates will work with talented engineers to build and maintain their data infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Develop and implement data processing systems and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions.
• Ensure data quality and accuracy.
• Build and maintain ETL processes and data integration workflows.
• Manage and monitor data storage systems, including Hadoop and SQL databases.
• Work with AWS functions to create and deploy serverless solutions.
• Automate data workflows using AWS services such as Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience as a data engineer.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Scala.
• Experience with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience working with AWS services, specifically AWS Lambda and S3.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
