Senior Full Stack Engineer

We are partnered with a business which is changing the face of makeup through technology and eCommerce. They are on a mission to give people the right tools to be their best by offering effortless, personalised beauty for all ages.

They are in the process of building intelligent systems to track business performance and empower business decision. They are looking for permanent experienced JS Fullstack engineer to help them scale.

The ideal engineer will help set the standards and the quality of the code of our platform. Fully hands on, strong engineer willing to help the team move forward. Delivering new features and upgrading existing projects.

Responsibilities:

* Supporting a scrum team, delivering features on multiple projects

* Continuously reviewing & upgrading the architecture of the current platform

* Ensuring quality and standards are upheld

* Mentoring more junior members of the team

* Managing delivery expectations by using JIRA and/or similar tools

Requirements:

* Previous experience coaching team(s)

* Comfortable sharing knowledge with less experienced developers and leading by example

* Strong knowledge of JavaScript and how to build projects from scratch (React, Node)

* Ability to work with & upgrade legacy code

* Experience building GraphQL servers and React Apps

* Good understanding of Webpack & express

* Experience with TypeScript (Flow typed is just a plus as we are moving away from it)

* Management of npm packages

* Good understanding of UI layouts (box model, grid etc.)

* Understanding & previous experience with SQL & NonSQL databases
