Senior Java Developer – Remote

We are working closely with an exciting crypto & blockchain company who have recently secured a new round of funding from some of the top European VCs. They are now scaling up their Development team and are looking for a Remote Senior Java Software Engineer.

Our client is building a crypto platform to solve three key problems with public ledger systems: scalability, buildability & volatility.

The role:

• As a Senior Java Software Engineer you will be responsible for the research, design, documentation, implementation and testing of a new, unique system for executing smart contracts.
• Undertake software design and development activities as part of a project team
• Provide expert technical assistance and mentoring to staff
• Review work to ensure completion criteria are met
• Ensure technical capabilities, systems, process, and facilities for the discipline are maintained or improved where required

Skills/experience required:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer
• Extensive knowledge of Java and associated tooling
• Knowledge of cryptography and cryptographic primitives is a must
• Experience with multithreaded software design and implementation
• Experience with configuration management and defect tracking tools
• A working knowledge of distributed systems highly desirable

Tech Stack:

• Entirely Java based

This is a 100% remote position so our client is open to individuals from locations within an EU or Eastern Daylight Time Zone.
