Senior PHP Engineer

I am currently partnering with the leading provider of SaaS solutions for digital marketing, to find a Senior PHP Engineer to join their team in Central London.

Their platform has been used to track more than 3billion in advertiser top line revenues across 300,000 marketing partners in over 180 countries. All in which can be monitored in real time with their web and mobile apps, or directly through their APIs.

The primary technologies used are PHP, JavaScript (React/Redux), with Python and Lua also used. Data is stored in MySQL, PostgreSQL and Redis.

Responsibilities:

• Work as a part of a cross-functional, delivery-focused team with engineers, QA and Product managers working together using Agile principles in a highly autonomous and collaborative environment
• Collaborate closely with the Lead Software Engineer on designing new features and seeing them through to completion
• Share knowledge, code and ideas across other teams – we use tribes to facilitate this
• Master a complex business domain

You are a software engineer with:

• Software engineering experience using one or more languages including PHP
• OO skills, strong design patterns knowledge
• Experience with Agile and Lean delivery approaches and modern engineering practices, such as clean code, TDD, re-factoring, Continuous integration
• Experience in developing and consuming REST APIs
• The ability to communicate in a concise and focused way, listen to others, and practice patience
