Senior System Developer IoT & embedded Systems

Responsibilities:

• Specify, design and implement hardware and software components for Smart Home, Home and Building Energy Management use cases
• Development of IoT based solutions in close collaboration with business units and partners, in particular
• Define and implement hardware, firmware and software interfaces
• Embed various sets of communication technologies like BLE, LAN, Wireless, ModBus, wMBUs, …
• Define and implement sub-systems, system models and request management
• Choose and manage external supplier and partner
• Create support and user documentation
• Create technical documentation for hardware and software components
• Deliver proof of concepts and prototypes
• Transfer prototypes to mass production
• Manage necessary certification processing

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree, with Master’s preferred
• Deep hands-on experience in the development of embedded hardware products in the consumer space
• Deep knowledge in one or more of the following areas

* Smart Home / IoT

* Energy management

* Industry automation

* Metering / Smart metering

* NFC

* Low level software development

• Enthusiasm for quality management and use of quality assurance methods
• Deep experience in actual hardware development processes and methods
• Experience in the area of supply chain management and partner management
• High degree of energy, drive and enthusiasm
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Good understanding of cloud technologies is a plus
• Fluent in English, German is considered as a plus
• Willingness to travel
