Shopify Lead Developer

ABOUT YOU…

* You have proven experience working with cloud-based infrastructures to support websites or applications, and hands-on experience in frontend development, backend development, infrastructure, and e-commerce platforms

* You have significant experience implementing and architecting solutions in Shopify

* You have in depth knowledge of modern cross-browser HTML5+, ES6+ and CSS3+

* You have experience building high-quality, responsive layouts and with smooth interactions, transitions, and animations

* You have hands-on experience working with third-party APIs

* You have experience in optimising web performance and developing for accessibility and SEO

* You have experience in complimentary technologies/tools such as React.js and Figma

* You can capably review code and know how to provide constructive feedback to developers

* You are highly commercial and have proven experience in technical project delivery in a consumer-focused business

* You are detail oriented and highly focused, able to manage multiple priorities and ensure focuses are clear in a fast-moving context

* You take a collaborative approach – adept at working with teams across the organization to socialise strategic initiatives and implement projects – focusing on strong relationship-management and excellent communication

* You can simplify complex technical concepts for a non-technical audience and explain business goals to a technical team

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE…

* Leading the evolution of our digital technologies and technology practices.

* Conducting regular technical audits of our digital infrastructure and pitching new technologies that you believe in to continually move us forwards.

* Ensuring that the development workflow and project delivery process are followed to ensure new digital solutions are delivered on time, on budget and to scope

* Reviewing wireframes, designs, or data models, evaluating their complexity, and planning the work of 3rd party development teams (breaking down tasks, creating timelines and project backlogs)

* Managing and working external partner engineering teams.

* Inspiring a high performance, collaborative, and can-do project team culture where teamwork and adaptability thrive.
