Location: Fully remote or hybrid from Bristol.

I am currently partnered with an incredible digital e-learning platform, that partner with businesses to provide digital AR / VR experiences. More and more companies are moving their training and development online and utilising digital capabilities, so the business is flying! They have their own in house Learning Management System they have built with a suite of solutions include API Integration, Facial Recognition & Analytics.

They’ve gone through significant growth recently and are now looking to expand their engineering team to work on developing new features for their core platform. The exciting thing is that you’d be working 80% of the time on brand new greenfield type projects and launching new products to the market.

Role and responsibilities

As a PHP Developer you’re responsible for the middleware between the front-end apps and back-end APIs. We’re using a PHP based headless CMS called Craft CMS developing applications used in our eLearning products. Other responsibilities of the role include:

• Working with Front End Developers to develop applications.
• Working with Back End Developers to integrate RESTful APIs.
• Design, build, test and deploy modern PHP applications.
• Troubleshoot and optimise applications.
• MySQL/MariaDB and PostgreSQL databases.
• Creating and maintaining application documentation.
• Writing automation tests.
• Working in a cross-functional agile Scrum team.

Technology Stack: PHP (Symphony, Laravel, CodeIgniter, CakePHP)

• Familiarity with SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL

Salary: £45 – 60k per annum

Location / Flexibility: Bristol (open to fully)
