Profile

We are looking for an experienced backend engineer with a strong preference on cloud and microservice architectures. NodeJS, typescript, experience in a cloud-native environment (AWS, Lambda, SQS, Cognito, CloudWatch). Experience with microservices, serverless. Mentoring and growing other engineers.

Our client is a fast paced start-up in the restaurant industry. Their management system helps restaurants digitize their processes to save time, increase profits and offer guests exceptional experiences. They are expanding across Europe and therefore looking for an experienced and outgoing senior/lead backend engineer with a strong preference towards cloud and microservice architectures.

About the team

You are joining an existing team which are actively developing our new marketplace. This team is working with our newest tech stack, for which you will play an important in its future development.

What you will be doing

• Lead the marketplace engineering team
• Design, development, testing, delivery and monitoring of new and existing microservices within the marketplace domain
• Lead best practices development in engineering for the entire domain
• Be a go-to person and tech decision-maker for software architecture questions
• Mentor and grow engineers
• Evaluate current state of the product to design and launch performance improvements

What you bring along:

• A strong cloud thinking of how to architect solutions
• Experience with developing microservice-oriented systems
• Well versed with Javascript/Typescript
• Deep AWS knowledge
• GraphQL & REST API’s
