If you’re an experienced Java Engineer looking to make your first step into line management, or a Java Team Lead looking for a new challenge, this one is for you.
I have an exciting opportunity within a major high street bank to join one of their critical technology teams in Bristol as a Java Team Lead.
You will initially be leading a team of 2 other engineers, but this will grow to a team of 4 by the end of the year.
As the Java Team Lead, you’ll initially spend 70% of your time hands on building high-volume, high-performance applications using Java, Spring Framework, Kafka, Postgres, Docker and Kubernetes. Kafka experience isn’t mandatory though, this can be learnt on the job.
The other 30% of the time will be spent providing technical leadership to the team – as the team grows the split will become more 50/50.
They are open to Java Engineers who don’t have official line management experience yet, so if you have good communication skills, have led project and have a genuine desire to move into a Team Lead position, they’d love to hear from you.
They are paying from £76,000 to £96,780 + 10% guaranteed cash allowance, 10% pension (non-contributory) + bonuses (can go upto 25%) + 30 days holiday as well as bank holidays of course.
This is a remote first role, you just need to come to Bristol 1-2 days per month.
