Technical Lead, Software Engineer, Innovative Start-Up, Greenfield

My client is an incredibly innovative start-up, working on a brand-new product which will completely disrupt and transform the marketplace. The founders of this business are incredibly well known in this sector and sold their last organisation for £1.35 billion from nothing! – They are aiming to triple the success and value with this new greenfield venture, something you can be a part of too!

THE ROLE

As a Technical Lead, you will work hands-on in a cross-functional Agile team and work on vertical slices of the product, seeing changes through into production. You will be working in a cloud-based microservices environment, and therefore experience in these areas is ideal. The leadership aspects of the role do not extend to management, but rather providing technical assurance, guidance, coaching and facilitation to support a high-performance team as a servant-leader.

By writing both unit and integration tests you will develop into a testing superstar, confident that with each release the codebase will perform up to the highest quality standards. During every stage of development, you will focus on security and performance. You will not be afraid to challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions.

THE MUST HAVE’s

• Be technically adept and have a deep hands-on knowledge of software engineering patterns, practices and architectural principles[FC1]
• Be highly motivated, driven and adaptable
• Have familiarity with Pair Programming, and an interest in helping to grow the skills of your fellow engineers
• Have a proven background providing effective mentorship for team members.
• Typed JavaScript (e.g. TypeScript, Flow)
• Test Driven Development
• End-to-end testing
• C# OR JAVA/Node.JS
• Cloud Experience ideally Azure
