Web Developer

Staffordshire, UK

£35,000 – £45,000 + share options

My client is a B2B SaaS company operating in the visitor attraction space. Their software platform helps venues to deliver a better visitor experience, increase on-site spend and understand their guests like never before. This is done though a branded mobile app that visitors download, and a powerful control panel that attraction operators use.

They are looking for:

  • A full-stack developer who has a solid foundation in computer science, loves what they do and constantly strives to challenge themselves and improve. Open source contributions and personal projects are a great sign!
  • The candidate should have strong knowledge of PHP 7, MySQL 5.6, JavaScript (ES6/7/8), HTML 5 and CSS 3. Commercial experience using frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony or Zend is essential.
  • They will take great satisfaction in writing solid, well-tested code and as such have a strong working knowledge of unit testing. Experience with TDD/BDD and automated regression testing would be advantageous.
  • The ideal candidate would have experience with data visualisation using libraries such as D3.js, Chart.js or Google Charts, as well as JavaScript framework knowledge such as React, Vue.js or Angular. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and AWS would also be useful.
  • Familiarity with event driven architecture would also be a bonus.

Benefits:

  • The opportunity to grow with the company and be part of a highly talented agile team.
  • The opportunity to attend conferences and learn from/share with others during “knowledge share Wednesdays”.
  • A brand new 15″ MacBook Pro, high-quality display, keyboard and mouse. Plus, a laptop bag of your choice.
  • Free parking, tea, coffee and fresh fruit.
  • 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
