Junior Avaya Support Engineer

My client are looking for a junior voice engineer who would consider themselves proficient, but not an expert, across a multiple set of voice technologies, and confident in aiding offshore resources in being successful in the technical support of our business.

Whilst it is important that they have skills and knowledge of our products to those listed, confidence in the support of them is key over qualifications.

The ideal candidate for this role would have held a similar position in the past, have a minimum of three years’ experience, and worked with different teams and their members in various locations within Europe

The candidates should have knowledge, or aware of the below products, and would need to be prepared to give examples of the support and experience of them during a technical and non-technical interview:

• Avaya Communication Manager, Gateways, Session Manager
• Basic Networking principles, but not necessarily installation experience of LANs/WANs/MANs

Knowledge of Genesys would also be a nice to have, but not essential to the role at first. The successful candidate needs to be happy to work in a team spread across the world, but also on their own. It is vital to have business level English in reading, writing, and speaking; and the confidence to give weekly updates to their leaders on past weekly events.
