OSS Designer

Berkshire Contract / 6 month rolling Outside IR35

You will be working alongside an existing team to create and supervise the implementation of Designs for OSS systems within a Telecommunication Networks

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Gather information from stakeholder in order to create Requirement documents
  • Creation of High Level designs
  • Creation of Low Level designs
  • Creation of configuration designs
  • Supporting Operational Teams on fault resolutions
  • Reporting to the Project Manager and Delivery Manager on progress and planning
  • Maintaining traffic forecasts
  • Reporting on performance of the OSS systems
  • Be able to work on customer premises

Skill and Qualifications

  • 5 to 10 years recent experience on similar role
  • Thorough understanding of the latest OSS and Monitoring systems for Telecommunication organizations
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of 2G , 3G , 4G ( VoLTE and VoWifi) and 5G network interfaces
  • Thorough understanding of Ericsson and Huawei Network Elements
  • Thorough understanding of Virtual Environments and its associated Transport
  • Thorough understanding of Native Telecommunications networks and its associated transport
  • Demonstrable experience on Layer 2 , Layer 3 and Layer 4 filtering
  • Demonstrable experience on working with Packet Brokers
  • The ability to work under pressure and constraints
  • Determination and persistence

  • Thorough attention to detail
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • The ability to work well on a team
  • The ability to think of unique answers to problems
