Mobile Test Analyst / Engineer London – £40,000 – Manual, Automation, ios / Android, VOD, Digital, Media, Broadcast, Digital Products

We’re looking for passionate and detail-oriented Mobile test analyst to help prepare and improve our digital products across a range of device types, including responsive web, mobile, tablet and TV screens. You will fulfil a vital part of the digital products team shaping the team of test analysts, and identifying the best techniques, suppliers and technologies for our needs. The key responsibilities of this role are to:

Knowledge, skills & desired experience

  • Has good experience in manual software testing
  • Good mobile testing background in both manual and automation testing for iOS & Android apps
  • Has worked with native and non-native mobile apps
  • Has experience using Appium, TV automation, Selenium, Gherkin, Javascript & Python
  • Has good knowledge of SDLC (Software development lifecycle)
  • Is proficient in websites, mobile apps, TV apps and API manual testing
  • Experience using JIRA or Trello
  • Has knowledge of quality assurance processes and procedures
  • Has a proactive and flexible approach to work and is comfortable with a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities
  • Is comfortable juggling multiple projects at the same time
  • Has a working knowledge of working within an agile project management process
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across a number of departments and services as necessary

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake manual testing across all digital products as required, (iOS, Android, website, TV apps) keeping a good record of results, collating and reporting on issues in a clear manner
  • Undertake automation testing across mobile platforms, building tests from the ground up.
  • With an eye for detail, regression test across all devices as and when necessary
  • Raise critical issues with a sense of urgency, following processes set out
  • Play a key part in developing the team’s automated testing capabilities, using Gherkin and Selenium
  • Adopt BDD techniques as part of a standard project workflow processes
  • Keep the other team members in regular touch with progress and issues
  • Raise bugs with a sense of urgency, as necessary, following through with final testing and go live
  • Be familiar with Charles, Wireshark and Android Device Monitor for capturing logs and analysing output
  • Manage and action GDPR requests in a timely manner, as required
