My client is looking for an experienced software test and QA lead to create and establish a software test function within our eCommerce development team. Historically software testing has been carried out by developers and business acceptance testers, but they now require a dedicated testing team to be formed and this role will be key in forming the new team.

Quality assurance is being given ever greater significance in our organization and the successful candidate will be experienced in manual and automated testing, working as part of an agile development team.

• Create a software quality assurance strategy and testing procedures
• Build a team that can implement the strategy
• Understanding requirements and designing appropriate testing plans to ensure high quality output
• Select suitable testing tool set
• Design, build and run tests to support our agile development cycle
• Ensure quality is at the forefront of everything that we do as a technology team
• Tracking issues, identifying risk factors and formally logging these
• Ensuring that both functional, and non-functional requirements are formally tested

Essential

• 4+ Years Commercial testing experience with web applications
• Automation – Selenium – Web Driver
• 2+ Years’ experience leading a test function or team
• Ability to write test plans, test specifications and test reports
• Experienced working in an Agile environment
• Some exposure to automated UI testing, ideally with Selenium
• Excellent verbal communication skills, and dealing with non-technical staff
