Day rate: £600 – £900 (inside IR35)

We are looking for a senior test automation engineer with a quality mindset who is able to initiate tests, analyse results and propose solutions to technical, functional and cross-platform compatibility issues. You will have a keen eye for detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Coming from a technical background, the candidate should be hands in with writing code and mentoring other test engineers in their respective teams.

Responsibilities

• Hands on in designing, developing and evolving test automation frameworks.
• Testing microservices architecture applications developed in .net core/APIGEE/ReactJS-based web application
• Managing and resolving critical scripting and tool configuration issues including reviewing automation frameworks and processes.
• Analyzing and prioritizing requirements, sprint tracking and impact analysis.
• Mentoring a small team of test engineers.
• Experience in creating Test Strategy, Design and collaborating with business and client stakeholders for Integration and UAT testing

Skills

• Skilled on automation framework and Jenkins integration.
• Expert in automation framework design and implementation. Experience with creating NodeJs, selenium, cucumber framework for API testing.
• Working within agile development teams with a BDD (Cucumber) approach and supporting the developers for quality code.
• Skilled in one programming language like Java / JavaScript
• Knowhow of SQL, NoSQL
• Hands on API Testing and knowledge of how to do API Testing.
• Thorough understanding of Test-driven development.
• Experience in working of the source code management tool / team environment (GIT, Bitbucket)
• Has good knowledge of QA metrics, KPIs – measurement, collection and interpretation. Adept at driving continuous improvement – creation and adaptation of innovative solutions to Quality control
• Experience in agile methods using Jira & Confluence
• Experience in Retail banking would be preferred’
