Senior Test Analyst – London – £50,000 – Manual, Automation, BDD, Digital, Media, Broadcast, Digital Products – Lead a team of 3-5 people

We’re looking for passionate and detail-oriented senior test analyst to help prepare and improve our digital products across a range of device types, including responsive web, mobile, tablet and TV screens. You will fulfil a vital part of the digital products team, leading and shaping the team of test analysts, and identifying the best techniques, suppliers and technologies for our needs. You will manage a team of three Test Analysts, as well as working with third parties to set up automated testing.

The key responsibilities of this role are to:

• Lead and take ownership of the overall digital product testing effort, working closely with each part of the production process
• Manage the team of 3 test analysts, identifying training needs and developing their skills and experience
• Define the test strategy and identify test solutions and processes that will aid future projects
• Supervise the testing and test procedures across all projects and platforms
• Develop a close relationship with the customer services team to identify, replicate and prioritise user-reported issues, and to provide technical support where required
• Play a key part in developing the team’s automated testing capabilities, using Gherkin and Selenium, or third parties as appropriate
• Undertake manual testing of digital products as required, keeping a detailed record of results, collating and reporting on issues in a clear manner
• Raise critical issues with a sense of urgency, following processes set out or redefine as necessary
• Lead the team’s efforts to adopt BDD techniques as part of a standard project workflow
• With an eye for detail, aid the team in regression testing across all devices as and when necessary
• Break down larger stories and write well defined acceptance criteria
• Define, write and maintain test plans

You will be able to demonstrate the following experience:

• Solid commercial experience in manual software testing of consumer digital products and services, ideally across a range of different device types
• Some experience in software automation, along with testing methodologies for tasks that cannot be automated
• A good knowledge of SDLC (Software development life cycle)
• Experience creating a framework for testing from scratch
• Experience using Appium, TV automation, Selenium, Gherkin, Javascript, and a working knowledge of Python would be advantageous
• Knowledge of quality assurance processes and procedures
• Experience of working within an agile project management process
• Excellent leadership, people management and motivational skills
• Previous experience of team management or mentoring
• International Software Testing Qualification Board certification
