Test Lead/Manager

Well established financial consulting organisation are seeking a Test/Lead/Manager as part of a large programme of complex development work alongside tier 1 financial institutions

Responsible for:

Defining and developing the end to end test approach to support the build phase including processes, tooling and metrics supporting the end-to-end development lifecycle

Work with the Product and Tech leadership team and chosen delivery partners to implement the test approach

Defining and execution of an implementation repeatable test approach with lighthouse banks covering Integration and End User testing

Support the Ways of Working Coach with the selection and implementation of the chosen development lifecycle toolset across the product and technology teams

Support the Release and Environments Lead in the definition and implementation of the release and environments strategy

Maintain the effectiveness of the testing processes through the build phase, acting as the SME for GSS product and Tech testing including production of dashboards

Provide coaching and support for the Product and Tech teams on test processes and metrics

Co-ordinate and lead the testing process and forums with the Product and Tech teams and delivery partners

Work with the wider delivery team and support the Delivery Lead to drive end to end feature delivery in line with the agreed product roadmap and release schedules

Ensuring automation and repeatability of testing from the outset, removing impediments and roadblocks to throughput and release schedules

Ensuring root cause of defects are understood and fed back into the development lifecycle

Experience required

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a test management role
• Experience of building and maintaining high performing teams
• Experience of test planning and execution including resource management and capacity planning
• Experience of defining and implementing dashboards to provide visibility of key performance metrics and track over time
• Experience of full software delivery lifecycle from product requirement through to release and support
• Experienced with a range of test management toolsets
• Experience of working in waterfall and agile IT development environments
• Experience of working within an Agile Frameworks such as LESS and or SAFe and adapting to meet the way of working
• Experience of managing a distributed team
• Experience of performing strategic supplier management and management of delivery partner resource
