Testing Transformation Lead – Finance / Banking – Brussels

Rate: 700 – 900 pd

Duration: 1 year freelance contract

You will join the “Engineering” team where you can play a key role in the development of the Testing Transformation Plan for GBS division in collaboration with the rest of the IT divisions.

Your role

• Define the Group Testing Transformation vision and derive the relevant scope for key transversal decisions and establish a Target Operating Model (TOM) sustaining this vision
• Lead a Testing Transformation programme across Group to transform the testing approach and increase the quality of our deliverables. Your role is essential for creating and maintaining focus, transparency, enthusiasm, and momentum. This program is essential to reach the next level of testing maturity within the entire organization.
• Manage budget control for related investments, benefits, capacity, delivery plan, metrics. Consider continuous improvements and innovation. Build and drive the Test Transformation Change Management Plan
• Responsible for the overall integrity and coherence of the programme, as well as the communication plan
• Improve the Testing Framework and lead its implementation plan, adopting an Agile delivery approach, providing regular values to delivery/testing team of the group.

• Work in close collaboration with the programme sponsor(s), the business and technology stakeholders ensuring scope, schedule and budget are managed effectively
• Have significant autonomy, working with business and technology stakeholders across the geographies as required
• Execute ongoing Testing initiatives within the GBS division in close collaboration with other IT divisions
• Drive a team composed by internal and external qualified resources supported by IT partners for the capability’s delivery
• Create and maintain relevant testing knowledge and competencies in the team and in delivery/testing teams. Oversee, develop, and ensure adherence to industry best practice standards

• Proven working experience (Finance sector preferably) with multi locations including Offshore
• Proven experience in the following areas:

• Testing Transformation Programme steering is required
• Track record in large IT organization transformation (complex business workflow combining applications from multiple technologies/platforms, Mainframe/Distributed…)
• Strong knowledge in Testing practices is a must: Quality Engineering, Test Management and Test Automation
• Reporting to Senior Management
• Team leading of Testing engineers
• Decision or participation in Testing Tooling Strategy
