My client is a tech start-up. They are developing an IOT product that will affect the insurance Tech.

They are looking to hire an experienced Senior Manager User Acceptance Testing with the capability to build a small team, processes and tools to scale the user acceptance testing of their IoT product as we refine our product-market fit and scale the business internationally over the next 3 to 4 years.

You’ll be reporting to the Director of Product and will be working very closely with the product management, UX/UI design and development teams.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

They are looking for an exceptional User Acceptance Test manager who is not only technical but also capable of keeping a customer first approach at all times. The Senior Manager User Acceptance Testing will be responsible for building a small team, processes and tools to scale the user acceptance testing across our web and mobile products.

  • Develop UAT strategy and plans to ensure alignment with product roadmap and development sprint plans
  • Work closely with product owners and developers to understand user stories and requirements. Define and document acceptance criteria, test scripts and tools
  • Ensure that there is a repository of test scripts and tools that are cross referenced to business rules and user stories
  • Manage and prioritize defects through resolution and assist developers in the identification and resolution of defects; monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes; compile all test outcomes in an organized manner
  • Report UAT progress, status, risks, and issues to the Product Owner, Scrum Master and other stakeholders
  • Participate in the release control process (when the application is transferred from the build team to the test team) to ensure that solution meets user requirements and all UAT exit criteria are met

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following knowledge, skills and attributes:

Essential:

  • Min 6 years’ experience in QA, Acceptance Testing including a minimum of 2 years managing and leading a small team of testers
  • Solid understanding of test methodologies and tools in agile development process
  • Can demonstrate a track record of defining and implementing acceptance test strategies, test plans, test scripts and tools in an agile development process
  • Hands-on test experience with web and mobile app products
  • At least 4 years working in agile software development process and able to demonstrate a good understanding of agile processes
  • Good technical knowledge, including the ability to talk with product owners and developers to understand user stories and requirements, define acceptance criteria and test scripts
  • Strong personality with the ability to stand your ground with other strong personalities

This is a perm role based in central London
