This role will lead the operations mainly for this food retail and distribution business. It will lead the day to day operation, as well as continuous improvement of the department and will report directly to the CEO.
Principal Accountabilities
Operations
* On a daily basis, inspires the team to achieve through effective communication of sales and service performance against targets.
* Achieves a happy and positive working environment through inclusion and dealing with employee concerns swiftly.
* P&L responsibility: needs to ensure key budgeted costs are achieved (e.g. employment, packing, distribution) as well as maximizing processed sales (from the orders placed)
* Developing a strategy and plan to improve efficiency, productivity and service levels. For example, identifying new processes, ways of working and systems to improve efficiency (e.g. order management), identifying new packing materials or identifying changes to carriers required to improve service and / or cost. The role will also be responsible for executing these changes once agreed and approved.
* Ensure the team adheres to our Service Level Agreement with customers (dependent on the delivery service offered)
* Ensuring that the central warehouse and all areas are organized and effectively managed.
* Communicating with Customer Service and Content teams to ensure main challenges are addressed.
