Head of Editorial Content (English)

Leading the editorial operations & the portal’s growth, you will have a knack for working quickly and with meticulous accuracy. You will be a great coach and maintain a happy and conducive work environment for your team.

Your role:

• Oversee and edit all content before they go up on the portal – proofread, fact check, make suggestions etc.
• Implement new initiatives that’ll strengthen the quality of content and brand presence overall
• Lead, plan and execute sponsored content campaigns by clients to effectively deliver quality content
• Develop, suggest and delegate article titles and approve provided titles
• Publish finalised content live on social media pages with well-crafted captions
• Research, write and edit engaging and share-worthy articles
• Be updated with the latest and trending news locally and internationally
• Strategise and explore new initiatives to further grow our audience and improve engagement through content
• Source for stories & captivating images
• Collaborate and assist in ideation, execution and participation of video production

A bit about you:

• Experience as an Editor or Content Lead in the news media, editorial, copywriting or content marketing field
• Experience leading a team – comfortable guiding, coordinating and overseeing editorial processes
• Excellent in written & spoken English (since you’ll be leading by example!)
• Exceptionally meticulous & result-oriented – able to critically assess what works or doesn’t work
• Diligent and able to work efficiently in a team and deliver quality content to deadlines
