Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer

The company is a well known financial institution in Kuala Lumpur

Primary Objective

• Network Operation Center (NOC) require managing heterogeneous and complex Group Network Infrastructure (GNI) environment that require high availability and redundancy.
• Participate in support of day-to-day network operations to ensure network high availability and uptime within agreed SLA, and good network performance.
• Manage and monitor GNI services availability, performance, degraded services, fault, capacity and configuration.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively undertake NOC operational duties and support in a 24/7 operating environment
• Deliver tasks as a NOC technical (IP/Transport, Voice, Video/Voice) engineer with the goal of restoring service with urgency
• Identifies issues in network operations, perform root-cause analysis (RCA), recommend solution and implement appropriate resolution
• Escalation to relevant teams and vendor for resolution of network issues and resolved within timeline
• Manage and ensure all Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) are completed accurately and timely

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / Higher Diploma / Diploma in Information Technology
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in supporting & operating NOC 24×7 environment
• Ability to work in 24×7 environment and rotating shifts
• Have good experience in daily network operations
• Have good experience in NOC operations services, process and escalation matrix.
• Have adequate knowledge and skill on Network Management System usage; network anomaly/fault analysis & correlation, network performance trending and analysis, network capacity planning, fine tuning, etc.
• Ability to perform in accordance to all the KPI (Key Performance Indicator) and SLA (Service Level Agreement) for network operations
• Good understanding of NOC and ICT infrastructure required to support operations of a banking / finance organization
• Excellent knowledge of WAN, LAN, Voice and wireless technologies to manage and operate the NOC
