Introducing Aswin Shunmugathason, Senior Consultant, Technology – Kuala Lumpur

My Universe is… For the past 5 years I’ve worked within the Engineering space recruiting primarily for building, construction, and infrastructure industries, building a strong client base within the likes of Lafarge, Hume Cement, Bluescope Lysaght Sdn Bhd, and many more. Once my team and I started working on IOT tech implementation projects the tech industry peaked my interest and I made the move into Tech recruiting.

The zombie apocalypse is coming, who are 3 people you want on your team? My Fiancee’ (Can’t leave her out of the list. I’d be in trouble if I did), My dog, My brother.

You have your own late night talk show, who do you invite as your first guest? Cesar Milan.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? Batman.

The song I would sing at a karaoke bar is…“Surrender” by Cheap Trick 1978.

On a weekend … I’m an avid reader of classic American literature primarily the works of the great Stan Lee, Bob Kane, Todd McFarlance, Bob Kane, Jim Lee, and Scott Snyder (yes, I love comic books). I also volunteer at local animal shelters working to increase the rates of adoption by helping potential owners understand which dog or cat is best suited to them.

Fun fact about me… I’m an avid collector of vintage comic books and record albums.
