Data Engineer

For an international fashion brand, we are currently looking for a Data Engineer. As a Data Engineer, one of your task will be to develop, test, and maintain data pipelines and related architectures within the Azure platform. In this position, you need to be able to work independently as well as in a team. Within your team, you will help to facilitate the usage of more sophisticated analytics/data science throughout the organisation.

As a Data Engineer, you can expect the following key responsibilities:

• Execute a framework to be used within an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) by providing consistent, predictable techniques and methodologies for data
• Develop ETL/ELT processes and patterns to efficiently move data using batch processing
• Adhere to engineering best practices, including test-driven development, agile management, and continuous integration pipelines
• Create and maintain accurate and complete documentation of the pipelines developed
• Stay current on what is happening within the BI and analytics space
• Demonstrate interest and desire in the area of data science and machine learning

In order to perform well, the following requirement are set:

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role
• Strong in ANSI-SQL
• 2 years experience with Python, Pandas, and/or PySpark
• Experience with Databricks or similar products
• Experience with a business intelligence tool, such as Power BI
• Experience in Snowflake Database or other similar columnar database
• Experience working with modern ETL/ELT tools, such as Data Factory, Databricks, or similar
