Full Stack Cloud Developer

Join us to help us develop and expand our DAM platform! This is our digital file management platform, used by publishers, brands and companies all over the world to manage billions of digital media files.

About the role

We are looking for a developer who can, as part of a strong team, build new functionality within our DAM product. You’ll work together with developers, a product manager, and interaction and visual designers. You’ll think about the desired user experience and, together with your teammates, bring these user experiences to life within our web-based applications, back end and AWS infrastructure.

The core of the current technology stack consists of Angular, both the newest version and AngularJS. The backend is mostly Java, with parts transitioning to Kotlin. As search is crucial for a DAM system, we make heavy use of Elasticsearch. The cloud hosting of the product is done on AWS. Experience with infrastructure as code like Cloudformation and AWS CDK would definitely be seen as an advantage in this role. We use many different languages, libraries and tools within our software; as long as it helps us reach our goal. We expect you to be able to pick new things up quickly and to enrich the team with your own ideas and experience.

We spend a lot of time working towards the best user experience. Our applications are very user friendly. You will therefore need to find a good balance between attention to detail, speed of development and always keeping code quality high.

What we’re looking for

Requirements

• 3+ years experience as a software developer;
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages, preferably Java;
• AWS developer experience (level: Certified Developer Associate);
• Backend experience: Java, Kotlin, Spring, Elasticsearch;
• Frontend experience: TypeScript, Angular;
• Experience with test-driven development;
• Experience with troubleshooting and root cause analysis;
• Experience with domain-driven design;
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery;
• You can quickly learn new programming languages or tools;
• You can work independently within a small, multi disciplined team;
• Experience with source code repositories, preferably Git / Github;
• You can communicate in English, in both spoken and written word;
• Experience of working within an agile methodology.
