Senior Rust Developer (Permanent or Contract)

The role:

• Build secure, reliable and scalable APIs in a cloud environment
• Support these APIs in production, along with the team
• Solve interesting problems, using the cutting edge technology including Rust and the JavaScript ecosystem (Typescript, Node.js, JavaScript etc.)
• You will be responsible for software engineering and hands-on coding, with a focus in the back end and API development
• You will solve challenging problems, collaborate, code, communicate and share your passion for quality code
• You will be involved in technical design and code review
• Mentor other engineers and enable knowledge-sharing
• Lead sprint planning and break down complex work into manageable chunks
• Communicate effectively in the team and across teams as well.

The ideal candidate:

• You are a big thinker who understands the big picture. You love code for what it can do and are someone who loves to learn continually
• With at least 2 years of experience in Rust, you have worked on JavaScript full stack (such as React/ React Native/ TypeScript/ NodeJS etc)
• Start up experience is a big plus, as is experience working with open source communities
• Passion, initiative & good overall software engineering skills are essential for the role
