Accounting Manager – One year Contract

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client is at the leading edge of innovative climate solutions and have been supplying the NZ Pacific region for over 85 years. They presently require a result orientated Accounting Manager to lead the financial team and oversee the end-to-end Finance function. This is a fixed term contract of one year while the present Accounting Manager has been seconded to a transformation project.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role of the Accounting Manager is to lead the financial team and to prepare all management and statutory reporting for the group and oversee the accounts payable and receivable function. It will be up to you to manage the flow of financial information through to trial balance to ensure accurate financial reporting can be produced.

Duties include:

· Leading from the front and supporting the finance team of four

· Processing all information for the financial reporting systems

· Management reporting and all monthly journals

· Manage AP and AR functions

· Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and Accountant roles

· Support the ERP Finance led to ensure a smooth transition of the finance function

WHAT YOU NEED

· CA qualification or similar with at least 5 years’ experience in accounting management area

· Experience in managing requirements of Project Accounting and NZ Construction Act

· Team management experience with an approachable and consultative style

· Strong commercial acumen
