The essence of this role

Bring your passion for the outdoors and sustainability to this role! You will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager with the full operation of the store, and leading the delivery of amazing customer experiences while Kathmandu moves towards an ambitious 2025 goal of having 100% of its products designed, developed, and manufactured using elements of sustainability principles.

Key responsibilities

Support and contribute to the store’s sales and performance targets

Ensure that all store stock management and cash-handling procedures are followed

Assist the Store Manager to recruit, develop, motivate, reward, and lead a high performing store workforce that delivers on target

Promote the Kathmandu culture and values within the team

Support and promote sustainable practices

Active commitment towards company core purpose and values

A bit about you

Passionate about sustainability and looking after our Aotearoa’s ‘back yard’

Love the outdoors, whether it is the beach or the bush

Understanding of the outdoor apparel industry a plus

Comfortable with responsibility and dealing with multiple stakeholders

You have experience in a similar role
