The essence of this role

Bring your passion for the outdoors and sustainability to this role! The retail store manager will be responsible for the full operation of the store and will be leading the delivery of amazing customer experiences while Kathmandu moves towards an ambitious 2025 goal of having 100% of its products designed, developed, and manufactured using elements of sustainability principles.

Key responsibilities

• Support and contribute to the store’s sales and performance targets
• Stock management and cash-handling
• Recruit, develop, motivate, reward, and lead a high performing store workforce that delivers on target
• Support and promote sustainable practices
• Active commitment towards company core purpose and values

A bit about you

• Passionate about sustainability and looking after our Aotearoa’s ‘back yard’
• Love the outdoors, whether it is the beach or the bush
• Experienced in managing a high-performing retail team
• Understanding of the outdoor apparel industry a plus
• Comfortable with responsibility and dealing with multiple stakeholders
