It’s time to bring your flair to this category management role and join New Zealand’s largest FMCG retail business. As part of this collaborative category team, your task will be to bring some creative out of the box thinking to this role and be encouraged to look at things a slightly different way.

Utilising your strength and experience in strategic thinking and understanding the fundamentals of category drivers, implementing annual plans, building pricing models and delivering sustainable growth to this fresh food category.

You will be responsible for:

  • Influencing product trends and understanding customer preferences
  • Understanding buying and selling patterns and how they may impact that category
  • Negotiating agreements and maintaining supplier relationships
  • Identifying and developing longer-term plans, including recommendations for products and category’s
  • Working closely with key stakeholders to identify business opportunities

What will make you stand out:

  • Strong knowledge of Retail or the FMCG industry
  • Background in category management and understanding of buying & pricing
  • Drive to meet and exceed targets
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders
