A highly successful leader in the FMCG sector now has an opportunity for a Production Planner/Scheduler in their Manukau based manufacturing site. Well-known for their local and international brands, this company offers internal career opportunities within New Zealand and Australia.

ABOUT THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Factory Logistics Manager, the main purpose of this fast paced and varied role, is creating the production plan for the culinary manufacturing plant to meet the demands of the business and customers. This includes the coordination of internal supply chain departments across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

· Creating the production schedule considering capacity, labour, and materials to best optimise the factory to meet demands

· Monitoring progress of production and work in progress to program and modify as required

· Identifying possible supply/demand opportunities or challenges for the factory

· Looking at opportunities for and supporting improvement

· Providing back up to the other Production Planner and/or operational Buyer

ABOUT YOU

· Sound understanding and experience of manufacturing planning and scheduling tools

· Ideally have experience in a fast-paced role planning within food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment

· High level of analytical ability with ability to interpret data

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to manage tight deadlines in pressured environment
