Data Engineer 12 month FTC

Are you a Data Engineer ready to take on your next challenge?

This business is and is looking to continue their growth in the Data Team by developing and improving on their current data platform and initiatives.

In this role you will be working with the finance team on a range of ongoing and new projects, as well as supporting the BAU of the new data platform, moving data within their applications by creating and maintaining data pipelines, as well as other scalable data solutions. You’ll be responsible for translating business needs into data structures and flows on the already impressive platform. This is an opportunity to help with the data architecture, strategy and delivery thereof.

What we are looking for:

• Solid experience in a similar Data Engineer role
• Use ETL techniques to build out end-to-end data pipelines
• Understanding of modern data platforms and technologies, such as SQL, building DW/Data Lakes, Distributed Computing, Data Streaming and Data Modelling.
• Experience with Cloud Platform/s: CI/CD, Containerisation and DevOps
• Experience using Python as well as other open source languages
• Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the Data teams. Able to participate in regular team meetings and work with peers to ensure data availability
