The role

• Lead a top-notch SRE team using next gen tools to develop a global DevOps practice.
• The SRE practice you will lead will be a 24/7 global one responsible for building reliable and scalable cloud services in production and non-production environments.
• You will play a crucial leadership role in managing a team and in deciding the direction & strategy of the SRE practice, including tool selection & future proofing.
• Apart from leading a team, you will also continue to be hands-on
• Design, build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code in AWS
• Communicate & work with internal and external teams & with customers to optimize the use of technology
• Explore new developments and new ways of delivering software- stay on top of your DevOps game
• Use code/ scripts to build automated & scalable infrastructure and mentor the wider engineering team in DevOps best practice
• Work on the continuous improvement of development pipelines
• Environment includes: AWS, Redis, SQL, Cloud storage, Elastic Search, Prometheus, Kubernetes, Docker, Node.js, Terraform, Vault & Consul

The ideal candidate will have:

• We are looking for the top devOps talent in the country for this role.
• Senior level experience in deploying, configuring, monitoring and supporting distributed production and non-production systems in a cloud environment, ideally AWS
• Experience of at least a few years in leading technical teams
• Passion for & experience in DevOps, including containerization tools such as Docker & Kubernetes, in a Linux environment
• Experience with infrastructure as a code, automation, CICD to manage and optimise the delivery of software
• Experience with Terraform, Vault, Prometheus, EKS or similar cloud first tools
• Hands on commercial experience in scripting and automation using any scripting language such as Python, Shell, Bash/ Ash and/or Go.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to advocate the DevOps mindset to people at all levels in the organisation
