React Developer (Remote/ Contract or Perm)

About the Company:

Work remotely for a US start-up with stellar credentials and some great financial backing from some big names in Silicon Valley. Work NZ hours and be part of creating a product that has a great future in multichannel, retail environments.

The role:

• Front End development using the latest technology including React, TypeScript and JavaScript
• Part of the initial team of a well-funded US start up, leading front end development and architecture for a for a B2B SaaS product
• Tech stack is React, TypeScript, Node.js , GCP, Firebase, Postgres
• Help mentor others on Front End development, as the team grows
• You will solve challenging problems, collaborate, code, communicate and share your passion for quality code.
• This is a senior role that will involve mentoring other developers and getting involved in design decisions and code review.
• Share your knowledge and enable knowledge-sharing

The ideal candidate:

• You are an experienced in front end developer with commercial experience in React, TypeScript and JavaScript
• Ideally you have led contributed to design decisions
• Passion, initiative & good overall software engineering skills are essential for the role.
• Excellent communication skills and the desire to improve on the product and how software is developed
• Experience in fintech or e-commerce & in developing APIs using Node.js are a plus
