UX Researcher

Salt is seeking a UX Researcher to partner directly with an agile team in order to create solutions for businesses through family of apps to connect with the community and customers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Partner cross-functionally with product management, design, content strategy, data science, and engineering to identify important research questions
• Collaboratively and independently develop and execute research studies that span different phases of product development cycle.
• Identify the right research methodologies and execute with rigor.
• Collaborate closely with other UX researchers to leverage and build upon knowledge.
• Communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways
• Generate insights that shape how product teams think about short, medium and long-term product strategy

Skills:

· Extensive experience with various user experience research methods (e.g., interviewing, survey design, data analysis, experimental design, ethnography, co-design, concept-testing, etc.).

· Effective written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to diverse audiences.

· Strong ability to work independently, manage one’s time and problem-solve.

· Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional partners to produce impactful insights and product outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

· BA/BS in a human behavior related field, such as human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, communication, information science, media studies, computer science, or economics

· 3+ years’ experience in applied product research

· Previous experience conducting qualitative, user-centered research methods

Preferred Qualifications:

· MA/MS/PhD in a human behavior related field (HCI, Psychology, Sociology, Information Science, Economics, Political Science, etc.)

· 5+ years’ experience in applied product research

· Previous experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods
