Application Support Engineer

Our client is a global IT consulting company with Singapore as its regional hub for APAC. The company is growing and expanding regionally. One of the areas of focus is its support team whereby they are looking to add an application support engineer into their team.

Snapshot of the role:

As an application support engineer for this company, you report directly to the Service Delivery Manager and Applications Manager. Your role is crucial in ensuring all applications are working well in the go-live production environment. This role will excite you if you are someone who loves to solve issues/challenges/obstacles. The kind of issues you are solving revolves around the functionality of the applications. You will be able to put your root cause analysis skills onto this role. The infrastructure team and vendors are collaborating closely with you to identify the issues together. With the whole problem solving process, you will also be able to showcase your ability to manage different level of internal and external stakeholders.

What will you need?

If you have experience with Linux/Unix system, writing queries on SQL/Oracle database, able to read codes (Java & .Net), familiar with Github and experience with Jira, this role is for you to grab.
