Operations Support Analyst

SALT Talent is looking for an Operations Analyst for an investment management client on a 6-month extendable/convertible contract assignment. Our client’s diverse global team is responsible for the configuration, scaling and operational support of dozens of technologies, both proprietary and open source.

• This role covers technical support and administration of business-critical batch workloads, real-time / interactive processing, data transfer services, application on-boarding upgrades and recovery procedures. You should be able to handle multiple issues from multiple users and prioritize in terms of criticality, which to focus and resolve first.
• Also, being able to manage and cope with critical outage scenarios, whether planned (Disaster Recovery Tests) or unplanned.
• This role requires occasional weekend work with Time off in Lieu offered.

What you’ll need:

• Experience with Application Support in a Linux environment.
• Experience of operations automation using metrics, tracing and logs combined with scripting and/or open source tools is a bonus!
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to be a self-starter and quick learner.
