QA Engineer

SALT Talent is looking for a QA Engineer for one of the Social Media clients on 12-month & renewable contract role.

Overview : Our client’s team focuses on building a product that helps improve many of their existing products through crowdsourcing of data from users around the world to help improve artificial intelligence and machine learning models. We are looking for QA engineers who can bring in fresh ideas from all areas. The focus of the work will be based around manual testing and developing automation to verify functionality for our mobile and web apps.

Duties:

· Develop and maintain test suites to perform regression testing, automate acceptance tests, etc.

· Work with engineering and product to automate key tests for new releases for both mobile client, web server and backend builds

· Identify patterns in bugs reported, propose solutions that can help detect issues earlier at various stages of the development cycle

· Ensure failed tests provide descriptive information for engineers to understand how the issue was detected, what failed and possibly suggest fixes,

· Create automated tests (particularly integration tests) where they make the most sense.

What you’ll need:

· Mandatory Experienced coding in scripting languages.

· Experience designing test suites for mobile applications.

· Experience performing integration testing Experience working with engineers, product managers and program/project managers

· Experience making sense of logs, traces, crash reports, etc. to help narrow down possible root causes

· Desired Experience setting up infrastructure to execute automated tests
