Senior Observability Engineer

Which one are you focusing on more? Monitoring OR Observability?

My client is a global financial brand with a growth plan within their engineering team. We are looking for a talent who can take charge of the observability function within the organization.

This is a golden opportunity for you to define and putting best practices in place around end-to-end monitoring processes. My client is operating in a large-scale environment and is utilizing different cloud monitoring solutions on Azure and GCP. Monitoring will help the team to be alerted with potential issue and it is also important to be able to detect and solve the root cause of the issue. This is where your role plays a crucial part. You are in the position to analyse multiple monitoring and visualization tools available in the market to be implemented.

On a weekly basis, you will work closely with multiple teams within the engineering team and taking care after the monitoring, alerting and visualizing activities of the company. While understanding on how the current business works, you can propose on what you have observed and what can be improved. You will be hired to be catalyst for improvements. You will also be able to define the metrics on what is being measured.

What do you need? If you have extensive experience working in cloud monitoring environment utilizing different monitoring tools such as Datadog or Prometheus and different visualisation tools such as Grafana.
