This company is a late stage tech startup, based in Midtown, Manhattan! They are looking to hire a contract Product Designer to join their growing team in their office next to Bryant Park. They are ideally looking for someone who has strong UX/Research skills but also has a great visual eye and is comfortable taking projects end-to-end. The Product Designer will handle a full cycle of UX/UI design process independently, as well as work with a cross-functional team of product managers and engineers in order to deliver high-quality UX Design solutions that meet customer needs.

This is a great opportunity for Freelancers to get more experience in a consumer-facing product with a company that offers a high degree of autonomy, competitive compensation and possibility to convert to fulltime after at least 3 months.

You will be working on:

  • Designing a brand new product, its features, and enhancement solutions, handling a full UX/UI process from concept to launch
  • Conducting profound research, exploring customers main goals and challenges to identify areas of optimization
  • Developing wireframes and prototypes
  • Running workshops/interviews/user testing
  • Partnering up with Product Managers, Engineers, & Tech Leads to ensure a clean and consistent design across the platform

This is a perfect role for you if:

  • You enjoy working on new innovative products in a fast-paced environment
  • You have 3+ years of experience in Product (UX/UI) Design for web and mobile-based applications
  • You have a strong portfolio that shows your process usability principles and research methodologies
  • You possess strong communication skills and are able to present your ideas to
