Visual Design Director

This team is looking for a Visual Design Director to oversee a team of Visual Designers creating UI for Products. As a Visual Designer yourself, you’ve got a passion and commitment to the craft and you still get hands on – it’s in you and you couldn’t not be designing! However over the years of your experience you’ve learned to guide and mentor other designers and then overseen work from whole teams where you know how to communicate your vision and allow them to deliver back what you need!

This role is visually heavy and one of the few opportunities where you’re not expected to be a UX expert at the same time – you are the pure play Visual Pro!

FOLIO is everything to get a look in for this role – you have an undeniably compelling visual book of work – not just with mind blowing Digital/UI projects but maybe there’s something you’ve worked on in your own time too that could be physical or art related – show your personality.

You’ll ensure the design work exceeds client expectations across a unique and tailored portfolio of clients. In addition, you will lead and mentor teams of Designers across multiple projects and on-going timelines along with collaborating with experience designers, prototypers and developers to ensure seamless delivery of design.

The way to get noticed for this role;

• Extensive experience as a Design Director or Head of Design managing a design team.
• A compelling portfolio of work, showcasing a wide variety of digital design work and design systems across product/service design and digital comms.
• Should live and breathe digital design and have a good understanding of emerging tech trends
• A deep understanding and vision for where digital design is heading.
• A strong portfolio and established industry reputation.
• Able to successfully attract, retain and develop talent.
• Ability to inspire others during pitches and presentations.
• Hands on with Modern Design Tools
