Our client is looking for a Product Designer to join their boutique team onsite here in NY. (Not your typical start up. Read on!)

Think polling, reddit, hashtags, and social listening. This product is definitely going to be a game changer on making opinions count and be heard.
Backed by a huge publishing company, you’ll get all the perks (401K, benefits, etc) but operate like a startup where your voice and design will go far! Like the product itself!

From improving upon their current visual style and ensuring its consistent application, to helping creating eye popping UI.
The Product Designer will be an integral part of this team. You will work closely with user experience designers, product managers, engineers and Head of Product to help bring thoughtful, user-centered solutions to life.

Responsibilities

• Own, build and maintain the visual design of the company
• Interpret wireframes and user-centered design requirements
• Help bring your design thought process to solve user focused solutions
• Regularly collaborate with User Experience Designers, Product Managers and Engineers
• Understand how to interpret user cases and enhance their usability
• Be able to Iterate and bring solutions in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Degree in, Graphic Design, Visual Communication Design or related field of study (or proficient work experience)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. You are proactive and ask meaningful questions, and can identify the right people to answer them. You can establish the most effective ways of communicating your ideas based on your audience, and also seek and provide constructive and critical feedback on work during all stages of the design and implementation process
• Ability to work within a cross-functional team and balance multiple projects at once
• Proficiency using industry standard design applications such as Adobe CC and Sketch
• Ability to create development-ready assets and specifications to be used by engineers
• 1-3+ years as a User Interface or Visual Designer in the digital space
• A portfolio that showcases strong interaction and visual design skills and aesthetic, as well as demonstrates how integral those skills are to the success of a product.
