Associate Creative Director – Content and Copywriting

Salt is partnering with a global business services and digital transformation firm to hire an Associate Creative Director, Content and Copywriting to sit within their Consulting Marketing team. This is a permanent, full-time position and is fully remote.

At it’s core, this role is meant for a brand ally; someone who can create compelling original content while being comfortable editing material written by others.You’ll work with highly collaborative campaign teams to drive engagement and ensure the brand shines through across a variety of channels – web, email, social media, paid media, printed materials, and events materials.

The role + responsibilities:

  • Work with the Marketing portfolio team to understand portfolio objectives, key messages, and target audiences in order that inform content creation
  • Lead the career development of the copy-writing team
  • Lead the development of creative standards, best practice training, and priorities for the copy-writing team
  • Interview subject matter experts with curiosity and focus to develop priority marketing assets
  • Work closely with campaign marketers and stakeholders with copy that’s engaging, on-brand, and low-risk
  • Work closely with the Marketing Services Team Lead and Creative Director to develop strategic priorities for the team and lead tactical execution with team support
  • Proactively champion and inspire improvements to creative processes and capabilities
  • Shepherd and grow client relationships while advocating for the customer and the team
  • Write and edit for a variety of media, including websites, blogs, emails, online ads, style guides, social media, sales collateral, client stories, and more
  • Write derivative content for a variety of owned channels with a laser focus on meeting campaign objectives
  • Collaborate with channel owners to understand channel-specific best practices, rules of the road, and suggested enhancements
  • Work with the campaign team to analyze, test, and optimize content performance
  • Review content for brand continuity, voice, tone, and grammar
  • Collaborate with graphic team on marketing campaign assets

Your profile + experience:

  • Writing samples (please attach a portfolio)
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, English, PR, communications, journalism, etc.
  • 7+ years’ experience in content writing/marketing/advertising/technology/PR
  • Proficient across Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to navigate dynamic and fluid environments with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to research, interview, and compile information from a variety of sources
  • Strong design sensibility/familiarity with design apps
  • Self-starter with a focus on detail and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to multitask and work autonomously
  • Persuasive team player with a knack for working cross-funcationally
