Sr. Marketing Manager – Executive Positioning + Communications

This is a full-time, permanent position and can be hybrid/in-person for applicants based out of the USA.

The company is looking to hire a seasoned and dynamic media relations professional to join their growing Executive leadership positioning team as a Sr. Marketing Manager – Executive Positioning. This means a highly strategic and measurable approach to executive positioning and developing topic-driven plans for C-suite leaders that take advantage of targeted earned media and speaking placements. In this role, you will provide high-touch, targeted plans focusing on Tier One media contacts, including print/online and broadcast outlets and marquis events.

The role + responsibilities:

  • Teaming with leaders to develop their platform strategies, incl. topics and channels

  • Coaching and preparing leaders for interviews, speeches, panels

  • Assessing inbound invitations and opportunities

  • Leading strategy for media and speaker placements for marquis events

  • Actively contributing to executive positioning methodologies and playbooks used across Media Relations and Market Corporate Communications teams for use with leaders in their scope

Your background + experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 12+ years of experience in media relations, incl. executive positioning, preferably with agency experience.

  • Tier One media relations: deep experience and understanding of the drivers of positive tier-one earned media exposure with a focus on executive visibility

  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong working relationships, resulting in positive outcomes, with tier-one media

  • Writing and editing key messages, talking points; headlines focused on message; content curation, storytelling

  • Strong executive presence and demonstrated track record working with C-suite leaders

  • Monitor and analyze measurement/feedback (including using measurement tools/metrics specific to individual digital applications); adjust strategy, plan, content and comms
