Business Development Manager – Vancouver

A series C funded fast-growing SaaS-Enabled marketplace platform that is revolutionizing the beauty and wellness industry. Founded in 2015 it is growing its presence in Vancouver, Canada! The firm has expanded globally across 6 offices and currently today has users in over 120 countries, set to be a Unicorn by 2022. To support their expansion, we are seeking an energetic, determined, and dynamic Partner Success Manager/ Business Development Manager in Vancouver!

BDM role responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to the Head of Sales
  • Actively meet sales targets and KPIs
  • Role is purely focused on 100% new business development
  • Calling on key decision-makers using phone, email & social touches with the goal of bringing on new business (there may be some in-person meetings as appropriate) Willingness to travel to tradeshows or other events as needed
  • Present, promote and sell products and services through product demos to prospective and existing Partners
  • Contact 100% of qualified inbound leads in a timely manner, and document all call outcomes in the CRM as well as serve as a lead point of contact for partners on all commercial activities
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis with existing/potential Partners in order to align our solutions to their needs and business objectives
  • Provide feedback to management about ongoing trends in the industry
  • Analyzing effectiveness of outbound campaigns & scripts

What we are looking for in BDM role:

  • 2+ years of solid B2B sales experience with a track record of success have high business acumen and love solving business challenges
  • Experience with Saas, online marketplaces, or payment platforms is highly desirable
  • Experience with consultative sales methodologies is an asset
  • You are driven, results oriented and have a fantastic work ethic
  • You are a true hunter and relationship builder
  • Organized: you can multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, as well as strong customer service skills
  • Have high business acumen and love solving business challenges
  • You are naturally curious and have a desire to continually grow and develop
  • You are self-motivated, take initiative, and are comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced environment given the start-up nature of the business

PSM role responsibilities:

  • Liaison for partners on all commercial activities
  • Take ownership of assigned accounts, support partner on-boarding and help drive SaaS platform adoption
  • Optimize listing content and availability competitiveness on the marketplace to maximize conversions
  • Effectively analyze reports, execute plans on increasing monetized revenue generated from existing accounts
  • Handle complex implementation processes and adhering to KPIs
  • Solution orientated to ensure best practices are carried out both internally and externally
  • Support efforts to constantly develop and improve processes when working with partners
  • Contribute to the development of new product features by collating merchant feedback received
  • Identify up-sell and cross sell opportunities and collaborate internally to create additional value for merchants

What we are looking for in PSM role:

  • University degree and 2-3 years relevant professional experience in partner success/account management in the internet, software or e-commerce sectors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with a customer service-oriented approach
  • Ability to adapt and achieve targets in a dynamic, fast paced working environment
  • Experience with online marketplaces or SaaS platforms is desirable
  • Ideally a keen interest in the Beauty and Wellness industry
