Analytics Execution Manager

Location: New York, NY (flexible remote work can be arranged)

The Role

Manager and deliver widespread solutions that enable raw data to be converted into business insights by leveraging methodologies in Advanced Analytics. You will supervise and work with other team members, as well as provide mentoring to team members of a more junior nature. You, in essence, are responsible for the complete and successful delivery of the analytical solution.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and support teams in how to comprehend business requirements from the client, along with translating the requirements into applicable data requests
• Manage the team on applying the correct methodologies to build analytics solutions (descripting & predictive models, visualisations, and data marts)
• Provide hands-on support for complex technical solutions
• When necessary, lead client workshops and presentations
• When necessary, manage resources and budgets on projects
• Contribute to the overall growth of the consultancy’s analytics practice by:

o The ability to demonstrate master level proficiency in at least one trending topic in analytics

o Proactively understand major issues that affect the TMD industry and try find solutions in analytics that may add strategic value to them

o Product development cycle contribution: recommending enhancements and taking control of PoCs

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of relevant consulting experience in the analytics space
• Experience leading teams ranging in sizes from 2-10 individuals whilst on complex analytical engagements
• Possess outstanding technical skills:

o SAS, SQL, as well as experience with open source technologies such as R & python

o Experience working with Big Data: Hadoop – Have, Spark, Mahout, Impala etc

o Model Building: Predictive/Descriptive/Prescriptive using various techniques such as neural networks, regression, random forest

• Willingness to travel to client engagements (80-100%)
• Bachelor’s degree/equivalent experience in a working environment

Desirable:

• Knowledge and experience working in the TMD domain
• Masters level degree and/or an advanced certification in a select area of specialism
• Proven track record as a team lead or project manager on multiple analytical consulting engagements
• Strong oral and written communication skills – including presentation skills
• Strong desire to excel and eagerness to mentor junior team members
• Ability to collaborate with clients and their needs
