Software Engineer/Developer (Java)

Java specialists on the West coast needed. Tech consultancy looking for a Full Stack Engineer to be based in San Jose for a long-term commitment.

We’re looking for technology “junkies” that have a passion for emerging technologies and are eager to experience unfamiliar areas of a system to swiftly prototype new solutions.

This engineer should have a background in Java and feel at home engineering in multiple technology areas while working on prototype and proof-of-concept assignments across the full-stack. Having 8-10 years experience, he/she should be able to prove experience working with architects on complex projects.

Candidates SHOULD be advanced in the following areas:

1) Building cloud-based platforms and/or applications with JAVA, Spring, SaaS, Paas, AWS, MS Azure, Cloud Foundry, REST APIs

2) Familiarity with large data storage & processing technologies such as NoSQL, Hadoop & Spark

3) Familiar with messaging and integration technologies and components

4) If role is for Full Stack Frontend/UI Development, experience need in: React, Angular, Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, Bootstrap

This will initially run as a contract position for the first year, with a view to going perm – those eligible to work permanently in the US should apply.
