Product Analyst/Manager – Marketing Transformation

New York Permanent $130000.00 - $150000.00 annually

My client is a thriving CPG company with a strong investment in future technologies. This is an opportunity to join a growing digital transformation focused on marketing technology within an internal digital acceleration group. This position is reporting into the Director of the Marketing Transformation, assisting in owning marketing data, managing backlog and communicating market trends with senior stakeholders.


  • Collaborate with a Product Owner to shape the end-to-end product strategy and determine business value
  • Generate requirements to help direct and achieve team objectives
  • Use market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for your team, and help maintain a backlog of 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team
  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for the team on clarifying requirements and driving user stories
  • Exercise a strong decision-making mandate across the team as a proxy to the product owner
  • Remain in sync with product owners on priorities and day-to-day decision making
  • Support product owners in collaborating with other cross-functional business teams and leadership to ensure that the team strategy aligns with the product overview
  • Define, implement, and track performance metrics once solution is in production, in partnership with business stakeholders
  • Prepare and support team in product demonstrations, and other agile events.

Domain Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree, including minimum 5+ years of relevant experience (modeling, data science, measurement, advanced analytics and/or statistics experience)
  • Experience with customer/consumer analytics, audience targeting, segmentations, propensity modeling, etc..
  • Familiarity with concepts of database management, data engineering, and data architecture.
  • Deep knowledge of digital media, programmatic marketing, and marketing platforms/products.
  • Can quickly assess industry trends and translate end user demands from pain points
  • Remains updated with current trends, best practices, and new technologies
  • Experience with building digital products
  • Familiarity working with and presenting data is required

Agile/Digital Marketing Expertise

  • Experience using techniques such as cost-benefit analysis for feature prioritization
  • Experience in facilitating Agile ceremonies, managing a backlog/release plan, tracking team-level metrics, removing blockers (burndown diagram, burn-up release, etc.)
  • Some experience leading / working with teams in an agile environment within product
