Android Engineer – Remote

Salt is recruiting for an experienced Android Developer for our world-renowned client in the ecommerce/retail industry. This is a fully remote, long term contract opportunity with a minimum duration of 12 months. All applicants should be comfortable working across east and/or west coast time zone.

The primary goal for this role is to work within the Android (Kotlin) code base to maintain the current code and build out new features. Responsibilities will include:

• Execute full life cycle software development
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code
• Document and maintain software functionality
• Work closely with mobile app teams to design and optimize client/server interaction model
• Provide code using industry best practices around design, testing, and security
• Work closely with product, design, and QA teams to define and refine feature specification
• Turn big ideas into simple, elegant solutions

Requirements:

• 3+ years of Android Development Experience with Java and Kotlin
• Minimum of 3 years working in an Agile environment
• Experienced developing primarily Frontend for Android
• Mobile ecommerce experience is highly desired
• Experience with GraphQL is a PLUS
